Plat of GILLIAM-Boatright Indenture

Indenture made this twenty-second day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety-three between Robert GILLIAM of the county of Cumberland of the one part and Daniel Boatright of the same county of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Robert GILLIAM for and in consideration of the sum of 40 pounds current money to him in hand paid the receipt where of he doth hereby acknowledge doth grant, bargain and sell unto the said Daniel Boatright his heirs and assigns one certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the aforesaid county of Cumberland on the northside of Willises River and on the branches thereof containing forty acres to the same more or less and bounded as follows to wit
beginning at pointers on Charles Newton's line running thence on the same North forty-one degrees west seventy-two poles to pointers near the road to the lower bridge on Willis River thence
on Drury Woodson's crossing the said road North forty eight degrees east one hundred and twelve poles to pointers thence
a new line the same course eight poles to pointers on Cannon's branch thence
down the same as it meanders South fifty-four degrees east thirty poles to pointers thence
off a new line crossing the said road one hundred and thirty-two poles to the beginning.
To have and to hold the said tract of forty acres of land and all the appurtances thereunto belonging or in anywise appurtaining thereunto the said Daniel Boatright and his heirs and assigns forever the said Robert GILLIAM for himself & his heirs doth covenant with the said Daniel Boatright and his heirs and assigns that he the said Robert GILLIAM sand his heirs the aforesaid tract of land of forty acres of land and appurtenances unto the said Daniel Boatright and his heirs and assigns shall & will warrant and forever defend in witness he the said Robert GILLIAM that hereunto to subscribe his name and affixed his seal the day & year first above written.
